If you’re anything like me you’ve seen a million and one of these sand & Sky adverts all over instagram, facebook and any other social media channel you can think of. Now as a person with spot prone skin from the minute my boobs started coming in, I’ve heard a lot of brands claim to transform your face in 30 days. Well Sand & Sky boast about immediate results using their customers testimonials as the basis of their success. While my skin isn’t quite as bad as it used to be in my teens, I still suffer from breakouts and the scars that are left behind are more annoying than the break out itself. While Sand & Sky doesn’t actually promise to stop breakouts and get rd of spots, the before and after pictures of some of the customers had me convinced that this could be a game changer. Although, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about the raving reviews and it took me a couple months, but I decided to take the plunge and purchase the “Perfect Skin Bundle” which has the exfoliating mask and the scrub.
Flash Protecting Exfoliating Treatment
So, if it isn’t clear from the title, this is Sand & Sky’s scrub, here are some of the benefits:
✓ Triple-action exfoliating+ flash-mask
✓ Absorb oil and refine those pores*
✓ Resurface + mattify your skin*
✓ 5 min in-shower treatment to boost your glow*
✓ Cruelty-free and ZERO nasties
Yes, my pores look tighter after use, face feeling silky smooth and bright. But in terms of reducing blemishes, it is average for me. I have gotten similar results using drug store scrubs such as St Ives, although I must admit this one is definitely gentler on the skin. But for just under £35 I would be expecting better results and for one, will definitely be shopping elsewhere for a scrub.
Porefining Face Mask
This is the infamous Australian pink clay mask, that everyone and their momma are raving about, the benefits:
✓ 4-in-1 treatment + FREE applicator brush
✓ Tighten pores and supercharge your glow*
✓ Detoxify + Brighten in only 10 minutes*
✓ Cruelty-free and ZERO nasties
I must admit, I was pretty impressed with the mask. Again my skin felt super soft, cleaner and brighter. In the morning any spots I had would look visibly smaller and be less tender. This mask can also be used as a spot treatment, by dabbing some of it on the spot and leave it over night. A few times whilst using it I’ve had some pretty big pimples raise their ugly head. Usually a pimple of such epic proportions would take time to mature over a couple of weeks, before finally being pop worthy and then leaving an ugly scar in its wake. When I used the mask as a spot treatment they redness of the pimple would significantly reduce and often the pimple would go down completely within 3-5 uses. reducing its lifecycle from 2-4 weeks to one. Again this mask is on the pricy side at almost £40, but although it pains me I might be making the purchase again. I will however be keeping an eye out for other good masks that are a little friendlier to my bottom line.
I have mixed feelings over Sand & Sky’s Perfect Skin Bundle, whilst the scrub felt a little average to me the mask was definitely a quality product I just would prefer it at a lower price (who wouldn’t 🤷🏽♀️. The scrub definitely lasted longer, I used it three times a week for over two months whereas the mask got around 2 months of use when I used it twice (and for a few weeks 3 times) a week. All in all, I would definitely recommend the mask and I will be buying it again :).
Stay blessed y’all,
